Many of our most loved cookies are one form or another of a classic drop cookie. From the controversial Chocolate Chip cookie (how Do you like yours? Soft and chewy or thin and crispy) to the myriad's of Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Maple and other flavor combinations.
Drop cookies are considered the easiest cookies of all to bake. Simply mix the dough according to the recipe's directions and just drop onto a cool cookie sheet, bake and viola, cookies! Our tastes are as diversified as each individual can be. The ideal Peanut Butter cookie to one person is a disaster to another. It depends on what kind of cookie we ate as a child, what our mother baked, or what our grandmother's and aunts baked. What area of the country we grew up in, so what ingredients were available. Was butter or shortening used? All of these things play in what we view as the perfect cookie.
Hopefully you have the recipes to your favorite cookies, if not, there are thousands online to search through. You can check out my new Cookie Recipe Archive . These are untested recipes that have been sitting in my computer files. I have set up these pages to share my collecting with everyone, as well as make the recipes accessible without taking up space on my personal computer.
